Jane Wells apointed DL for Belfast

Congrats to Jane Wells who has been appointed a Deputy Lieutenant for Belfast!

She has been appointed by the Lord-Lieutenant of the County Borough of Belfast, Mrs Fionnuala Jay-O'Boyle CBE, along with Alan Logan and Walter Rader OBE.

Deputy Lieutenants are appointed by the Lord Lieutenant to support her and the work of the Belfast Lieutenancy, and when appropriate to act as the personal representatives of Her Majesty The Queen in The County Borough of Belfast.

Aside from royal duties, the Lieutenancy aims to promote and encourage voluntary and charitable organisations as well as taking an interest in the business, urban and rural and social life of the City.
